Online Training “Public Procurement” Now Updated

In the view of the latest substantial legislative changes, taking into account consequent new practices and due to the high demand among various stakeholders, the materials of the existing on-line training “Public Procurement for All” have been updated. In particular, an the new article-by-article commentary on the Law on Public Procurement Law became available for all trainees of the course.

The first electronic training on public procurement for all the system stakeholders in Ukraine was launched on 16 May 2016 by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine together with the EU-funded project “Harmonisation of Public Procurement System in Ukraine with EU Standards” with the financial support of the European Union.

This Course proved to be one of the most successful on-line training courses in Ukraine, with almost 13 000 public procurement stakeholders registered for the course.  2 724 course attendants were awarded with certificates. Remarkably, the course participants refer to the training materials after accomplishing the course even, proving the content relevance.

The on-line public procurement training is a part of more complex activities aimed at establishing system of training for procurement specialists and its gradual transition to professional system of public procurement according to the Public Procurement Reform Strategy under the Association Agreement. Specifically, in 2015-2016, the project jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade carried out  a seven-month regional training programme, intended to present the Government’s e-procurement reform, including “ProZorro” e-procurement system, and EU experience in this field.
