Progress, Complications and Further Steps of Public Procurement Reform in Review
On 29 September 2017 a Fourth International Public Procurement Conference “Public Procurement Reform in Ukraine – Continuing the Momentum” will beheld in Kyiv to discuss further steps needed in the reform process based on the results and experience to date and the capacities of stakeholders to ensure continuing momentum and progress. It is organised by the Project with the participation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, EU Delegation to Ukraine, Anti-Monopoly Committee, State Audit Service, international experts, Ukrainian procurement practitioners and NGOs.
The Conference participants will discuss the latest developments, identified complications and further steps in the implementation of the Public Procurement Reform Strategy/ Roadmap approved by the Government in February 2016. Topics for discussion will include main priorities in the 2017-2018 phase of public procurement reform; opportunities for Ukrainian business in the EU market; state and civil control in public procurement; centralised procurement and professionalisation of procurement activities.
The Conference will be opened by Mr. Stepan Kubiv, First Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, and Mr. Thomas Frellesen, Deputy Head of EU Delegation to Ukraine.
Interviews with the Conference honorary guests and speakers will be available from 11:10 – 11:30 AM.
