EU PROJECT AND MINISTRY OF ECONOMY HEAD ON TO VINNYTSIA AND MYKOLAIV
On 20 October 2015, the EU Project jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade commenced a Programme of ten regional e-procurement seminars. Intended to present the Government’s new e-procurement reform and EU experience in this regard, the first seminar took place in Vinnytsia.
The Programme is aimed, generally, at improving the understanding by procurement officials, control authorities at regional and municipal level, regional businesses, and local civil society activists of the status of implementation of e-procurement in Ukraine and the EU. Each seminar includes a practical training for service users of the official public procurement web portal and electronic procurement platforms.
The EU Project Experts spoke on the principles and current status of the use of electronic means in public procurement in the EU and standard solutions on electronic means in the procurement process, Public Procurement provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and the benefits of their implementation for the Ukrainian public sector and the business community.
After rolling out on 20 October in Vinnytsia, the Programme, consisting of ten two-days regional seminars on e-procurement, will be followed by the seminar on 22 October in Mykolaiv, covering together 5 regions of Ukraine. In its totality, the Programme is designed to cover all regions of Ukraine and up to 800 participants are expected to be involved in the full Programme.
